Funeral services were held Monday, January 21, 1985, at Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville for Myrna Maude Foster, 84, of Riceville who died Thursday, January 17, 1985, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Rev. John Gilbert officiated at the service with burial in the Riverside Cemetery, Riceville.

Myrna Maude Foster was born on April 20, 1900, in Riceville, Iowa. She is the daughter of George and Grace Tyrell Gooder. She was united in marriage to James Curtis Foster on Nov. 27, 1919. He died in 1977.

Survivors include one daughter, Carol Foster of Riceville; two sons, Curtis and Lloyd, both of Riceville; nine grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren and one brother, Galen Gooder of Des Moines.
