Funeral services for Keith Bower, 63, of rural Mitchell, who died Monday, Jan. 14 at home were Friday, January 18 at Faith Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Rev. Charles Bunk officiated with burial in the Osage Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Keith Bower was born on February 14, 1921 in Mitchell County, the son of Robert and Tessie Klar Bower. A lifelong resident of the Mitchell and Osage areas, he also attended schools here, graduating from Mitchell High School in 1940. He married Aldene Rucker on August 12, 1945 in Osage.

Bower had farmed all his life in the Osage and Mitchell areas. He was a member of the Osage Masonic Lodge No. 102 AF and AM, where he served as worshipful master and was a member of the Chapter and Commandery. He was also a member of El Kahir Shrine, Cedar Rapids and the Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his, wife, Aldene; his mother, Tessie Bower of Osage; one daughter, Mrs. Russell
(Dorene) Hintz of rural Osage; two sons, Kenneth of Tacoma, Wash., and Dennis of Osage; eight
grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Kathlene Rowe of Cedar Rapids and Mrs. Richard (Harriet) Heuer of St. Ansgar and one brother, Birchard of Phoenix, Ariz.
