Funeral services were held on Tuesday, January 22, 1985, at the Little Cedar Methodist Church for Leonard Doane, 77, of Little Cedar, who died on Saturday, January 19, 1985 at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage.

The Rev. Loyd Johnson officiated at the service. Burial was in the Little Cedar Cemetery. Champion Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Doane was born on August 24, 1907, on a farm near Little Cedar, and attended Little Cedar Schools.

He and Esther Eastman were united in marriage on May 1, 1937, and they farmed northeast of Little Cedar.

Mr. Doane is survived by his wife, Esther, Little Cedar; two sons, Wayne "Jack" of El Cajon, California, and Delbert of Little Cedar; five grandchildren, and one sister, Cora Lenth, Riceville.
