MRS. THOMPSON DIES

St. Ansgar – Funeral services for Mrs. Eugene Thompson, 61, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Methodist church, the Rev. W. F. Belling in charge. She died Sunday following a stroke, which she suffered Saturday evening.

Surviving are the husband and 2 daughters, Mrs. Alvin Kroneman and Miss Frances Thompson, at home.

Lucile Harriet Holmes was born January 21, 1882 in Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Flora (Larkin) Holmes. She married Eugene Ellsworth Thompson, the son of Robert Kenneth Thompson and Jennie (Waters) Thompson.

DIES FROM STROKE
SUFFERED ON STREET

Mrs. Eugene Thompson, 61, had a severe stroke of paralysis Saturday evening on St. Ansgar's main Street, and died Monday morning as a result. Mrs. Thompson had been in her usual health and had been visiting with friends as usual prior to the attack.

Lucille Harriet Holes [SIC] was born January 21, 1882, at Iowa Falls. Her parents died when she was small and she was reared by her grandparents at Plainfield. She was graduated form the high school there.

Her marriage to Eugene Thompson took place in 1901, and in 1919 they moved to St. Ansgar. Mr. Thompson operated the Oscar Koch farm, one mile east of St. Ansgar on Highway 218.

Surviving are Mr. Thompson and their daughters, Mrs. Alvin Kroneman of near Mitchell, and Frances Thompson; and one grandchild.

Funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the St. Ansgar Methodist church, conducted by Rev. W. Belling. Burial was in the St. Ansgar cemetery.
