Former Riceville farmer, William A. Templeton, 84, of LeRoy, Minnesota, died Friday, January 4, 1985, at Pine Island, Minnesota. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 7, at First Baptist Church in Riceville. Rev. J. Dalton and Rev. Rollie Leeman officiated. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery at Riceville.

Templeton was born on August 21, 1900 to William and Jeannie Hamilton Templeton. In 1937 he was united in marriage to Lorene Appel in Decorah, Iowa. They farmed southwest of Riceville until 1969 when they moved to LeRoy.

Survivors include his wife, Lorene of LeRoy; two sons, Richard and Dennis, both of Pine Island; a
sister, Mrs. Grace Elliott and a brother, George, both of Riceville, and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
