BRITT WOMAN DIES IN SLEEP

Mrs. Burton Hogan, 41, former resident of Osage and Forest City, was found dead at her home at 11 a.m. Monday by her husband who had left home 3 hours earlier. Death was due to a heart attack.

A 6 year old son, Burton Robert Hogan, had been home from school with whooping cough. He said his mother had been up then went back to bed.

Mrs. Hogan was born in Minnesota and came to Osage as a foster daughter of the late Dr. F. W. and Mrs. Rena P. Lee, as an infant. She attended the Osage schools, was married to Burton Hogan in 1928 and lived in Osage most of her married life. The family just moved to Britt from Forest City.

Besides her husband and son, she leaves another son, Marshall of Black Earth, Wisconsin; a daughter, Mrs. Carmen Huset of Black Earth, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, a brother, Robert Lee, of Osage, 3 brothers not living in this area, and her mother, Mrs. Lena Anderson, of Newton.

The body is at the Champion Funeral home at Osage.

She was born August 5, 1910, and was the foster daughter of Frank Lee and Helen Irena (Penney) Lee. She married Burton Wallace Hogan, the son of William Daniel Hogan and Mary Esther (Penney) Hogan.
