Maude Ethel (Richards) Juhl 1882-1954

MRS. CHRIS JUHL OF OSAGE, 72, DIES

Mrs. Chris Juhl, 72, of Osage, sister of Frank Richards of Nashua, and a sister of the late Mrs. Frank Watson, died Tuesday of last week, September 21, in an Osage hospital.

Final services were held Thursday afternoon at the Champion Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Johnson officiating. Interment was at Osage.

Mrs. Juhl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Richards, was born August 19, 1882 in Illinois, moving as a girl with her parents to Estherville. On June 22, 1922, she was married to Chris Juhl at Grover. Following Mr. Juhl’s graduation as veterinarian of Iowa State College, the Juhls moved to Osage, where he practiced until his retirement four years ago.

Surviving Mrs. Juhl are her husband, two brothers; Frank Richards of Nashua; and George Richards, Waterloo; and one sister; Mrs. Irving Martins, Estherville.

She was a member of the O.E.S., the Women’s Club and societies of the Methodist Church.

Those attending the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Frank Richards; Frank Watson; and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stack, Nashua; Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Richards, New Hampton; and Geneva Richards of Waterloo.
