MRS. GERHARD GOPLERUD

Mrs. Gerhard Goplerud, 53, died Tuesday morning at her home in Osage after being ill several
months.

Surviving are her husband; a son, Dr. Richard Landborg, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; a daughter, Mrs. Richard Penney (Patricia), Madison, Wisconsin; five grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Chester Peterson, Mrs. Elder Opern, Mrs. Ben Dunham, Anoka, Minnesota, Mrs. Kris Christiansen, Amery, Wisconsin; a brother, Harlen Titterud, Anoka.

Funeral services will be Thursday afternoon at Osage.

Funeral Services Planned
Here For Mrs. G. Goplerud

Funeral services will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran church Thursday at 2 p.m., for Mrs. Gerhard Goplerud, 53, who died Tuesday morning. Mrs. Goplerud had undergone surgery in Rochester in January, 1961, and had been at her home and intermittently at Mitchell County Memorial hospital since.

Services will also be held Friday at her home church, Glen Carey Lutheran near Anoka, Minnesota, and burial will be in the cemetery there. The Rev. Obert Hoven, pastor of Our Savior's Lutheran church, will be in charge of the local service, and the Rev. Mr. Framstad will be in charge of the Anoka rites.

C.R. Champion and Sons are in charge of arrangements.

Beatrice Isabella Titterud was born May 30, 1908, near Anoka, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maxel Titterud. She was baptized and confirmed at the Glen Carey church and was graduated from Anoka high school. She studied normal training in the schools of Anoka county.

She was married to Clifford J. A. Landborg in June 1931 at Glen Carey. They moved to Osage in 1943 and Mr. Landborg owned and managed the Landborg Feed and Seed company here until his death, on January 30, 1948.

Her marriage to Gerhard Goplerud of the Goplerud Oil company, took place June 9, 1949, in Osage.

She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church in Osage, and was a past president of the Ladies Aid. She was also a member of Shakespearean club.

Surviving are her husband, Gerhard, one son**, Dr. Richard Penney of Madison, Wisconsin, five grandchildren, three step-children, Sterling Goplerud of Iowa City; Elling of Charles City; and Mrs. Andrew Cummins, now living in England, 11 step-grandchildren, her sisters, Mrs. Chris Christianson of Amery, Wisconsin; Mrs. Ben Dunham, Mrs. Chester Peterson and Mrs. Elder Opern of Anoka; and one brother, Harlan Titterud of Anoka.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and one brother, Marshall.

**Note: Apparently the second obituary (MCP 12/29/61) is wrong. Beatrice was survived by her daughter, Pat (nee Landborg) Penney, who had been the wife (eventually divorced) from Dr. Richard Penney.
