ITEM #1:

THE OBITUARY OF MRS. ANNA LOVESTRUM

Anna Charlotte Swainquist was born in Erbro, Sweden, February 22 in the year 1847. Died at her home in St. Ansgar, Iowa, Sunday morning, June 26, 1927.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Gustave Lovestrum in the year 1871. He preceded her in death thirty years ago. They were blessed with seven children: Isaac, the eldest, who, with three other young men, was drowned during the high water in the Cedar river -- years ago; Mrs. Martin Tollefson of St. Ansgar, Iowa; Mrs. W. L. Moran of Seattle, Wash.; Alvin John Lovestrum of Stephens, Minn.; Mrs. Louie L. Larson of Kirkland, Wash.; Frank W. Lovestrum of Adams, ND.; James I. Lovestrum of Manitowoca, Wis. She also leaves to morn her loss nine grandcildren.

Mrs. Lovestrum has been living with her daughter, Mrs. Martin Tollefson during the winter months of each year for the past 15 years. During the summer months she loved to live in her own home at St. Ansgar.

She was apparently in good health when visited at her home.

At the time of the last visit of her pastor, Rev. Waldeland, just before he moved to Northfield, she again professed her faith in Jesus Christ as she had often done during his earlier visits and spoke of her hope of eternal life and her desire to depart and be with Christ.

She died suddenly of heart failure Sunday morning, June 26, after having spent some time reading her Bible which lay open before her, at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 4 days.

The funeral was conducted at the N.E. Lutheran church on Friday, July 1, Rev. M.E. Waldeland officiating. Beautiful music was rendered by the choir, solos by Miss Clare Moe and Mr. Wm. Groth also a duet by Miss Moe and Mr. Groth. Her remains were laid to rest at the Evergreen cemetery.

Item #2:

Mrs. Anna Lovestrum, aged eighty years last February, and who had been a resident of St. Ansgar for more than fifty years, died Sunday, just after midnight. She spent the winter at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Martin Tollefson, west of town, but as her health was apparently good she wanted to come back and live in her own house in town for the summer.

Late Saturday night the neighbors heard her moan and tried to get into the house, but it was fastened so they called her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Tollefson, and when they arrived they found she had just passed away.

On account of having two daughters living on the Pacific coast, the funeral will not be held until Friday at 1:30 at the home and 2:00 at the N.E. Lutheran church.
