FARMER NEAR OSAGE DIES AT HOSPITALOsage – Funeral services were pending for Melvin Balsley, 67, who died Monday evening at a hospital here following a paralytic attack. The body is at the Champion Funeral Home.
Mr. Balsley was born November 19, 1886, near Orchard to Homer and Laura (Gleason) Balsley. On December 22, 1909, he was married to Addie Makepeace of Little Cedar. They lived on farms near Floyd, Orchard, and Osage.
Survivors include the widow, a daughter; Mrs. Lloyd Lacour of Northwood; sons Leonard on the home farm and Gordon of Orchard; four grandchildren and a brother, Clarence, of Kensett

BALSLEY RITES SET
Osage – Melvin Balsley, farmer near here who died Monday following a stroke, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home. Burial in Osage Cemetery.
He leaves the widow, three children, four grandchildren and a brother.
