RICEVILLE, IOWA - Lynsey Gronwoldt, 48, of Riceville passed away Friday, July 15, 2011, at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday July 21, at the Riceville Community Center with the Rev. Erich Hoeft officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday July 20, from 4-7 p.m. at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville.
Lynsey Lorell Gronwoldt was born January 7, 1963, in Des Moines.

Lynsey joined the Leonard and Marlene Souhrada Gronwoldt family on January 31, 1963. On December 7, 1964, his parents were killed in a car accident and Marvin and Marlys Souhrada Gronwoldt became his legal guardians. He attended and graduated from Riceville High School.

After graduation he attended Austin Technical College and graduated in 1984. Lynsey graduated from NIACC in 1991. He was employed at RR Donnelley in Osage. Lynsey loved music, golf, exercise and to walk in nature.

Survivors include his guardian mother, Marlys of Riceville; siblings, Leon of Mason City, Darlene and Harold Seidel of Riceville, Marvin Jr. and Ardith of Riceville, Loren (Putts) and Bonnie of Riceville, Cheryl and Paul Kunze of Colby, Wis., Russell (Whitey) of Riceville, Charlene Atkins of Marshfield, Wis., Kenneth and Nicole of Lime Springs, Danny and Sandra of Riceville; and a brother-in-law, David and Meryl Hemann of Janesville, Wis.

Lynsey was preceded in death by his parents, Marlene and Leonard, in 1964; his guardian father, Marvin, in 1999; and a sister, Linda Hemann in 2008.
