ERNEST MESSERLIE OF OSAGE IS DEAD

Osage, Ia. – Ernest Messerlie, 58, died Monday morning at his home on West Main Street of cardiac condition with kidney complications.

He was born November 14, 1888, at Mitchell, son of Rude and Anna (Voight) Messerlie. He spent his boyhood in Mitchell and Married Hazel Pierce in June 1923.

Mr. Messerlie was a former county employee and recently worked for the state highway commission.

He leaves his wife, two sons, James, Charles City; Frank, at home; one daughter, Mary Anne, in nurses’ training at Iowa City; also one brother, Alfred, Indianapolis, Ind. One son preceded him in death.
