DEATH TAKES CENTRALIAN

A former resident of Austin, Minnesota, who had lived in Centralia since 1946 died at a Centralia Hospital early Saturday morning following a lingering illness.

He was Grant Moran, 66, who was born July 5, 1897 in Mitchell, Iowa.

Moran is survived by the widow, Mrs. Grant (Lillian Alice) Moran, at home; three sons, John, Burbank, Calif.; Bud, Oakland, Calif.; and Everett, Vancouver; two daughters; Mrs. Dorothy Bonfield and Mrs. Hazel Windham, both Centralia; one brother Neil Moran; and one sister; Mrs. Ethel Peck, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Sticklin Funeral Home, Centralia. The Rev. Richard Barada will officiate and interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Park.

Ulysses Grant Moran was born July 5, 1897 in Mitchell, Mitchell Co., Iowa, the son of Logan Moran and Cora May (Coons) Moran. He married Lillian Alice Harsen, the daughter of Francis Harsen and Anna (Garloff) Harsen.
