Herbert S. Bower

Funeral services were held March 13 at San Diego, California for Herbert S. Bower, 57. He died March 9 of a heart attack.

He was the foster son of Ben and Ada Bower and was born to Charley and Coralie (Godfrey) Bower December 15, 1924.

He attended schools in Mitchell County, graduating from Mitchell High School. He entered the armed forces and served for many months in the U.S. and foreign theatres.

He worked for International Harvestor and was a letter carrier in Mason City before moving to San Diego where he was a carrier out of the La Jolla Post Office.

He is survived by two daughters, Sheryl Gregory of Buffalo, Wyoming, and Terry Foos of San Diego. Also surviving are one sister and two brothers. Burial was in San Diego.
