HOLLIS WRIGHT RITES ARE HELD
OSAGE EXPLOSION VICTIM IS BURIED IN OSAGE CEMETERYOsage, April 1 – Hollis S. Wright, who was fatally burned early Saturday morning when a can of kerosene exploded in his hands when he was pouring oil on he fire in the stove, was buried this afternoon.
The services were held in the Champion Funeral Home with the Rev. Mr. James pastor of the Pleasant Valley M. E. Church who was with Mr. Wright when he died, in charge.
Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.Mr. Wright was born in Mitchell County, August 7, 1869
Surviving are a brother, Fred Wright of Beaver Creek, Oregon, who came for the funeral and a half-sister; Mrs. John Pickering, who lives on a farm north of town.

Hollis Sam Wright was the son of Giles Thomas Wright and Louisa (Broomen) Wright. (his mother’s maiden name from 1925 Iowa Census). She died in 1876 and his father remarried Katie Jurrens.
He was a bachelor.#3
