Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Hauser Funeral Home for Willard L. Laughlin, 94, pioneer Osage and Charles City resident, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ward Gage, 207 Patton Avenue, Sunday evening.

He had been ill for one week. Burial will be in a Riceville Cemetery. Masonic lodge rites will be held.
He had been a resident of Charles City for the last 20 years and prior to that had resided in the Osage community between 60 and 70 years.

He also leaves the following other children; Floyd, Riceville; Mrs. V. Walter, Lafayette, Ind.; Kenneth, Des Moines; and Miss Merle Laughlin, Charles City school nurse; two brothers, Austin and Frank, both of Osage, and eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death on August 31, 1936

Willard Laughlin was born September 23, 1851 in New York, the son of Lewis James Laughlin and Maria (Mason) Laughlin. He married Mary Tyrrell, the daughter of George Tyrrell and Lavina (Saint John) Tyrrell
