MISS MARCELLA MAYER

STACYYILLE, IOWA — Services for Miss Marcella Mayer, 64, who died Tuesday morning at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital in Osage will be 10 a.m. Friday morning at the Visitation Catholic Church; rosary at 3 and 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Martha Heimer and Miss Leona Mayer, both of Stacyville, and three brothers: Ray and Ralph Mayer, both of Stacyville and Herbert of Osage.

Hatten and Son Funeral Home in Stacyville is in charge of arrangements.

RITES HELD FOR
MARCELLA MAYER

Funeral services were held for Miss Marcella Mayer at the Visitation Catholic church in Stacyville on Friday at 10 p.m. with Rev. J. Griffin officiating.

Miss Mayer died at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, following a period of failing health.

Marcella Anna Mayer was born on a farm east of Stacyville, Iowa, on August 5, 1906, the daughter of Joseph and Josephine (Mueller) Mayer. She was baptized and confirmed at the Visitation Church in Stacyville, and attended Visitation schools. Miss Mayer moved to Stacyville with her parents in 1929. She was a member of the Women Catholic Order of Foresters.

She is survived by two sisters, Leona Mayer and Mrs. Martha Heimer of Stacyville; and three brothers, Ray and Ralph of Stacyville and Herbert of Osage; plus nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers; Edward, Michael and Ernest.
