Little Cedar – Funeral rites were here Tuesday for Orton J. Schuchart, 55, who died Saturday at his farm home near Dysart, son of Justus and Mary Trepp Schuchart; was graduated from Dysart schools and attended Cedar Rapids Business College.At the age of 19, he and his twin brother, Morton, went to White, South Dakota to farm. The following year in 1910, they returned to Little Cedar, where they farmed for five years.
On September 14, 1915, Orton Schuchart married Bessie Hultman of Little Cedar, and the couple established their first home at White, South Dakota, where they farmed for three years, moving again to Little Cedar, where they have lived continuously on the same farm, since 1918.He leaves his widow; two sons, Virgil, near Little Cedar; and Wayne, soundman second class, U.S. coast guard; one grandchild; and five brothers; Morton, Little Cedar; Ralph, Dysart; Ezra, Dalhart, Texas; Arthur, Alamo, Texas; and Arno, Pasadena, California.

STROKE FATAL TO FARMER, 55
HOLD FUNERAL TUESDAY FOR ORTON SCHUCHARTLittle Cedar – Funeral services were to be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. for Orton J. Schuchart, 55, prominent farmer south of town, who dropped dead Saturday while unloading shelled corn at his home.
Mr. Schuchart was conversing with his wife who had brought him a drink of water. He died while he was drinking. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Mr. Schuchart was active in Farm Bureau work and participated in numerous public enerprises.
Surviving are the widow and 2 sons; Virgil, of near Little Cedar; and Wayne Schuchart, who is in the coast guard aboard the ship Hada with headquarters at Seattle, Wash. He also leaves 5 brothers.
