SERVICES CONDUCTED
FOR ALTHA LAPHAM, 67,
AT GRINNELL

Charles City – Memorial services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Mayflower Home Chapel at Grinnell for Mrs. Altha Dygert Lapham, 67, widow of the late Percy Charles Lapham, former superintendent of the Charles City Schools, who died Saturday at the Community Hospital in Grinnell.

The Rec. C. E. Kingsley, pastor of the Grinnell First Baptist Church, and Dr. Royal Montgomery of the Mayflower Home, officiating and burial was in an Osage Cemetery.

Survivors include three children; Lewis J. Lapham of Maryland; Dr. Lowell L.Lapham of Ohip; and Mrs. Margaret Johnson of California and 10 grandchildren.

She is listed as Ida Altha Dygert born November 1891. Her parents were Lewis Dygert and Ellen Barringer Dygert.

She married Percy Charles Lapham, the son of Jay Lapham and Ella (Ranche) Lapham.
