E. E. RUNGE DIES AT 75, RITES TUESDAYOsage – Edward E. Runge, 75, died Sunday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. He had been in ill health since suffering a stroke 10 years ago.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Champion Funeral Home preceded by a family service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Osage Cemetery.
Born April 19, 1885, to William and Adel (Arsell) Runge in Dane County, Wisconsin, he came to Osage in 1895. He was employed at John Deere before his illness.
Surviving are his wife, Edna; a son, William, Dinuba, California; three granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; two stepchildren; three sisters; Mrs. Hulda Guy, Upland, Calif.; Misses Dora and Hazel Runge, Osage; and a brother, Walter, Osage.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Daisy.Mason City Globe Gazette, Monday July 25, 1960

His first Wife was Daisy Ripley. His second wife was Edna (Rosenberg) Streich.
Edna’s first husband was Albert Streich.
