MARIE BODENHAM

Riceville – Marie Bodenham, 89, widow of the Rev. Edward Bodenham, died Thursday at the Riceville City Hospital.

Funeral services are set tentatively for Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist Church here. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery with Chisholm Funeral Home in Charge.

Born November 18, 1873 at Pella, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George VanderZyl. She was married October 17, 1895. Her husband was pastor of the First Baptist Church here 10 years. He then retired to live on an acreage and served the David Community Church 27 years. He died in 1956.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Joy) Holden, Riceville; Ruth Bodenham, Oxford, Ohio; two sons, Hal, Riceville; John E. (Ted) Monte Vista, Colorado; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
