JOSEPH SAMS II DIES AT OSAGE

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the First Congregational church in Osage for Joseph H. Sams II, an Osage attorney, who died at an Osage hospital Saturday after a long illness. He was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Joseph H. and Sadie (Henry) Sams of Clarion. He died June 11, the day following his own birthday.

He was a 1941 graduate of the Drake University Law School and a former Mitchell County Attorney. He married Ruth Demorest in June of 1939.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two daughters; Debbie and Jane; two sons; John and Joe; and one brother, Lynn of California and one sister, Mrs. Harry Hudelson (Marjorie) of Des Moines.

Joseph Henry Sams II was born June 10, 1906 in Clarion, Iowa, the son of Joseph Henry Sams and Sadie Henry. He married Ruth Catherine Demorest, the daughter of Wilbur and Minnie Demorest.
