Burial at OsageFrank Hofler, 80, died suddenly of heart disease at his farm home three miles east of Mason City about 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. He had been a resident of North Iowa 71 years.
Mr. Hofler was born on November 28, 1860, in Austria Hungary. He came to the United States with his parents when he was nine years of age and settled near Osage. He moved to his home near Mason City in 1900.
Surviving Mr. Hofler are his wife and two children, Arthur Hofler and Mrs. J. F. Hartwig of Nora Springs. Five grandchildren, LaBonna, Beverly and Charlotte Hartwig and Jane and Ward Hofler, a brother, Anton Hofler, Nora Springs, and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Rickford, Pekin, North Dakota, Mrs. Clark Zweck, Aberdeen, S. Dakota, and Mrs. Barbara Lidolt, Sauck Rapids, Minnesota, also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery at Osage.
