Shirley Ann (Wentworth) Ferguson 1934-2010

OWATONNA: Shirley Ann (Wentworth) Ferguson, age 76, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010, at the Owatonna Commons, Owatonna.

She was born Nov. 6, 1934, in McIntire, Iowa, to Jess and Golda Wentworth. She grew up in Brownsdale and spent most of her life in Austin. She married Charles Ferguson on Nov. 16, 1962, in Brownsdale.

Shirley was a homemaker who loved doing crafts and traveling to see the sights.

Survivors include her husband, Charles of Austin; daughter, Debora (Mark) Silvis of Wylie, Texas; son, Raymond Ferguson of Austin; two grandchildren, Paul and John Silvis; one brother, Charles (Jackie) Wentworth of Minneapolis; two sisters, Dorothy (Jim) Nelson of Blaine, Minn., and Mildred Byrd of Osage, Iowa; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Richard Wentworth and John Wentworth.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin, with Reverend Mark Silvis officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service on Wednesday at Worlein Funeral Home. Interment is in Grandview Cemetery, Austin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
