West Mitchell

James Carter of Cedar, who has been sick for a year and a half, but who got so much better last fall as to be able to get about quite comfortably was taken down again in January and lingered along until the last day February when he was mercifully relieved of his suffering by death.

The funeral took place at the residence of his father, Anthony Carter and was buried in the Oak Grove cemetery at Mitchell.
