St. Ansgar – Helen R. Champion, 84, of St. Ansgar, died Friday (February 10, 1995) at Good Samaritan Center, St. Ansgar.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Ansgar United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Robert Lemmermann officiating. Burial will be in Osage Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, Schroeer & Sites Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, is in charge of arrangements.

Helen R. Champion was born August 26, 1910 in Olney, Illinois.

Survivors include two sons, Russell, of Owatonna, Minn., and Delmar, of Monmouth, Ill.; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Glen Shaw, of Orchard, and Carl Shaw, of Chula Vista, Calif.; and one sister, Mabel Champion of Burt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and one brother.

Helen Shaw was the daughter of Lorous and Lillie Shaw. She married Ward Champion, the son of Ben and Katherine (Coonradt) Champion.
