Fatal to Frank Babcock.

OSAGE, IOWA — Frank Babcock of Osage, who left here in the summer for a tour of the west, died from heart disease Sunday evening while in a tourist cabin at Salt Lake City. With his wife and granddaughter, Margaret Babcock, who had spent the previous year here, he was en route home from Vancouver, Washington.

Shock Prostrates Widow.

Mrs. Babcock, who has been in frail health, was prostrated by shock and for a time was a hospital patient. She rallied sufficiently to resume the journey Wednesday night.

She will be accompanied here by a son, Earl, of Priest River, Idaho. It is expected they will reach Osage Friday evening.

Funeral services will be at Champion Funeral Home here Saturday, February 11, at 2 p. m., with Rev. J. D. Kern officiating.

Mr. Babcock was born in Erie County, New York, July 28, 1868, and in 1877 came to Iowa. He married Neva May Phillips in 1889.

Survivors besides the widow and the son, who is accompanying her here, are another son and two daughters: Ray, Priest River, Idaho; Mrs. Rex Jeremy and Hazel Babcock, both of Osage; and two brothers, Hugh, of Little Cedar, and Orin, St. Louis.
