STACYVILLE, IOWA — Funeral services were to be Thursday at Hatten and Sons Funeral
Home here for Herman Dense, 75, who died Tuesday morning at Austin, Minnesota.

Survived by a brother, John, Fredericksburg; a sister, Mrs. Jack Puckett, Stacyville, and several nieces and nephews;

Burial in Sunset Rest** cemetery near here.

Stacyville man
dies suddenly

STACYVILLE - Herman Dense, 74, died at Austin, Minnesota Tuesday morning. He had gone to Austin on the way to Rochester where he was employed. He dropped dead while walking on the street.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. August Dense were pioneers in this community.

He is survived by a brother, John, Fredericksburg, and a sister, Mrs. Jack (Clara) Puckett, Stacyville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Hatten Funeral Home, Stacyville, with burial in Sunset Rest** Cemetery.

**NOTE: Both obituaries said the cemetery was Sunset Rest, but Sunset rest is at Northwood, and there is a headstone for Herman at Stacyville (Penneyville) cemetery -- see GPP.
