DIES OF APPOPLEXY

Mrs. John Richardson Is
Stricken at Home of Her
Daughter In
Albert Lea

Mrs. John Richardson, for nearly fifty years a resident of Mitchell county, died last Sunday evening in Albert Lea at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Tom Thurston. She was stricken with appoplexy on Saturday morning previous and never rallied or regained consciousness before her death.

Lucy Delight Ransom was born in Hamilton, N.Y., November 5, 1824, and was married to John Richardson on September 25, 1848. She was the mother of five children, one son and four daughters, the youngest of whom died seven years ago. She and her husband lived in their New York home for three years, after they were married and then moved westward, settling near Osage on a farm, from which they moved to the city. For the past five years she has spent the most of her time with her daughter at Albert Lea, where she died. Her death was peaceful and painless. Mrs. Richardson was a charter member of the --- Universalist church and throughout life continued strong and steadfast in her chosen faith. Her life was too open to all who knew her to need any eulogizing. Her life was beautiful and serene-an inspriation to all.

She was buried in the Osage cemetery Tuesday afternoon.
