Last Thursday afternoon, the Death Angel entered the home of Herman Bartle, taking his beloved wife. Mrs. Bartle has been sick for over a year, going every week to Osage for medical treatment, but getting no relief. She was able to be up and around until the first of last week, when she took to her bed from which she never arose. She died from that dreaded disease, diabetes.

Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Klugg of Osage, and her sisters and brother were with her at the time of her death.

The funeral services were conducted from the German Lutheran church, Monday afternoon. Mr. Bartle has many friends who sympathize with him in his loss.
