CECIL PALMER, FORMER AREA MAN, DIES

Word was received in Marshalltown Wednesday of the death of Cecil G. Palmer, 81, former resident of Dunbar community, who died in Minneapolis Tuesday night.

Mr. Palmer was born in Mitchell County, Iowa in October 1876, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gideon Palmer. His early life was spent in that community and he grew to manhood there.

On July 16, 1912, he was married to Emma Bryngelson and they lived in the Dunbar community until moving to Minneapolis in 1945 where they had since made their home.
Mrs. Palmer preceded her husband in death in 1957.

Surviving are four children, Wilma Hatch of Denver, Colo., Howard and Homer Palmer and Mrs. Erva Cox, all of Minneapolis. Also surviving are a brother, Paul Palmer of Rochester, Minn., a sister Grace of National City, Calif., 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Services will be from the Stavanger Friends Church at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in the Stavanger cemetery, LeGrande, Iowa. Friends may call at the Estel-Perris Funeral Home after 7 a.m. Friday.
