DOUBLE FUNERAL
FOR OSAGE COUPLE
SATURDAY 2 P.M.Frank Evans Died Thursday
and Wife Friday, After
Illness of a WeekA double funeral service was held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Champion Funeral Home for Mr. and Mrs. Frank Evans, who died within twenty-seven hours last Thursday and Friday.
Though both had been in poor health for a long time, inveigher was stricken with fatal illness until about a week before death claimed them both. Mrs Evans died from a blood clot; Mrs. Evans from uremic poisoning.
Grace Hatfield-Evans
Grace Althea Hatfield, daughter of Guy and Julia Hatfield, was born at Rosel, S.D. September 24, 1889. At the age of two years she came with her parents to Mitchell County, Iowa, residing in the county all the rest of her life.
On July 10, 1908, she was united in marriage to James Francis Evans. To this union were born five children; Mrs. John Graff and Mrs. Leon Ackerman, both of Waterloo; Kenneth, who died at the age of two years; Francis and Keith, at home.
She leaves to mourn also three grandchildren, John Graff, Beverly and Janis Ackerman; and two brothers and two sisters: Jay Hatfield, LeRoy Hatfield, Mrs. Inez Nelson and Mrs. Irma Molstead.
