The following account from a Long Beach, Calif., paper tells of the death of Mrs. Elizabeth F. Saalmiller, who will be well remembered as a former resident of Mitchell. She still has many relatives living there-the Piper and Schulte famililes and others.
Mrs. Elizabeth F. Saalmiller, 77, of 1715 East Seventh Street, died yesterday morning at the home of a daughter. She was born in Freeport, Ill. and lived for several years in Iowa coming from that state to Long Beach in 1920. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal parish.
Surviving are the widower, Geo. Saalmiller and a daughter, Mrs. Carol Rue, Long Beach, a brother, Fred Schulte, Yorba Linda, and a sister, Mrs. Herman Piper, South Pasadena, and a grandson, Geo. Henry Rue, Long Beach.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Patterson & McQuilkin, with the Rev. Charles P. Drew, assistant at St. Luke's church, officiating. Interment will be in Sunnyside Mausoleum.
