Dies After Long Illness

Was 81 Years of Age;
Funeral Held Saturday Morning

Jacob Seibert died last Wednesday after a long illness at the age of 71. He was born May 3, 1857, in Kell Germany. On April 29, 1881, he married Mary Elizabeth Meyers. Ten children were born to them, four of whom preceded him in death. Besides his widow he is survived by six children. Sister Thomasina, Ionia; Mrs. Hubert Juris, Cross Plaines, Wis., Mrs. Ben Hartough, Hinkley, Illinois, Joe, Madison, Wisconsin,and Mrs. Roy Gillis and Julius, both of Stacyville, one sister, Mrs. Peter Wolf, and twenty-four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Visitation church and burial made at that cemetery.

Those from away who attended the funeral were; Mrs. Phillip Thome, St. Paul; Mrs. Ben Hartough, Hinkely, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. John Kottner,New Hampton; Mrs. Hubert Juris, Cross Plaines, Wisconsin, Joe Seibert, Madison, Wisconsin, Joseph Meyer, Richard and John of Burr Oak, Iowa.
