Funeral services for Miss Karen M. (Mary) Johnson, 89, who died August 18, 1975 at the St. Ansgar Good Samaritan Center, were held August 20 at the First Lutheran church here with the Rev. S. Engelstad officiating.

Karen Marie Johnson was born August 18, 1886 in St. Ansgar, the daughter of Albert and Ella Johnson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Miss Johnson remained active as a church member in Circle and ALCW until her eyesight failed her.

Most of her life was spent as a housekeeper for families in the area. She became a resident of the Good Samaritan Center here nine years ago.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, a sister and a great niece. She is survived by one niece, Mrs. Daniel (Wanda) Attlesey of Austin, Minn.

Burial was in First Lutheran cemetery with Rev. Engelstad in charge of committal services.
