Beatrice A Ziegler (1908 - 1980)

Ziegler rites held Saturday

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for an Osage woman, Mrs. Ervin F. Ziegler, 72, who died at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital May 22, after a week's illness. The Reverend Kit Belk, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, was in charge of the rites there and burial was in the Osage Cemetery. Arrangements were by C. R. Champion and Sons.

Beatrice Arvilla Malmanger was born May 15, 1908, in Des Moines, the daughter of Louis and Lydia Travis Malmanger. She was graduated from high school in Huxley and was employed for a time by the Bell Telephone Company in Des Moines.

Ervin F. Ziegler and Beatrice Malmanger were united in marriage on October 26, 1933, in Lake City, Minnesota. They came to Osage in 1941, where her husband was engaged in the practice of chiropractic.

Mrs. Ziegler was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and had been a Sunday school teacher, She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, had been a Girl Scout leader, was a member of the Osage Music Mothers and served as president of the latter one year.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Keith Ham (Marlene) of rural Osage and Mrs. Douglas Volner (Helen) of Minneapolis; five grandchildren; one brother, Oliver Malmanger of Des Moines; one sister Mrs. Marie Harvey of Paradise, California; and nieces and nephews

Preceding her in death were her husband Dr. Ervin F. Ziegler, and her parents.
