Miss Ida Halvorson, daughter of Lars Halvorson who lives south of Otranto, died September 8th, after a lingering illness of more than a year.

Ida Theolina Halvorson was born near St. Ansgar September 13, 1887 and her home had always been at or near the place of her birth. Two years ago she was confirmed in the Norwegian Lutheran church at St. Ansgar and the following July she was stricken with the illness from which she never recovered. There are left to mourn her loss father, mother, three brothers and four sisters. The funeral was held last Thursday in St. Ansgar conducted by Rev. J. Olsen.
