Mrs. Inger Halvorsen was born at Wilmington, Houston Co., Minn., in September 1854. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church at that place.

In 1875 she was married to Lars Halvorson. To this union nine children were born.

Three of these have passed away earlier, namely Helmer, Ida and Oscar.

The following children survive her and together with their father mourn the loss of a beloved mother and wife.

Gena, Luella, Isabella, who were present on this occasion. Mrs. R. Piper is on her way to California and was therefore unable to return in time for the funeral.

Carl and Sever Halvorsen were on their way to North Dakota when Mrs. Halvorson died and were also unable to attend the funeral.

The funeral was held Wednesday at the U.N. Lutheran church and the remains were laid to rest at the U.N.L. cemetery north of town.

Note:
Burial records indicate spelling of name as that of HALVORSEN, however, newspaper account has several spellings.
