Funeral services were held for H.O. Hendrickson, Friday, November 4, 1949, at the First Lutheran church with the Rev. O.A. Langehough in charge of the services.
Henrick O. Hendrickson, the son of Ole and Bereth Bakken Hendrickson was born at Ossian, Iowa, September 3, 1866. He was baptized and later confirmed at the Stavanger Lutheran church at Ossian by the Rev. Koren.
He attended the Ossian public schools and after his graduation attended Luther College at Decorah, Iowa, where he studied pharmacy. On September 26, 1894 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Sattre at Ossian. They established their home on a farm west of St. Ansgar, which they purchased from the Peter Gunderson estate. They maintained this as their home until 1927, when he moved to St. Ansgar, where they have lived ever since.
Six children were born to this union: Otto, St. Ansgar; Morris, St. Ansgar; Roy, Washington, D.C.; and Esther (Mrs. Mark Abbott) of International Falls, Minn; two died in infancy.
He is survived by his widow and four children, one brother, Ole Hendrickson of Ossian, Iowa, and eight grandchildren.
He was a member of the First Lutheran church of St. Ansgar where he took an active part, serving at different times as Sunday School superintendent, Bible class teacher, and trustee.
In civic affairs he took an active interest in school and township matters,serving as secretary of the Newburg township schools and chairman of the township trustees. After moving to St. Ansgar he served on the town council for a number of terms.

Neste, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Boe, Decorah, Iowa; The Rev. and Mrs. O.T. Boe, Lyle, Minn.; Miss Marjorie Nereson, Aurora, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Alan Anderson, Buffalo, Minn.
