FORMER OSAGE RESIDENT DIES
Osage – Jay Hatfield, 58, former operator of the Idle Hour tavern here, died late Tuesday at a hospital at Austin, Minn., following pneumonia and an asthmatic heart condition. Funeral services were pending.

Mr. Hatfield was born at Osage, November 25, 1894, son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Hatfield. He was married to Thea Kittleson of St. Ansgar in 1915.

Survivors include his estranged wife at Osage, a brother Roy at Minneapolis and a sister, Mrs. Ed Schultz, of Austin.

HATFIELD RITES HELD

Osage – Funeral services for Jay Hatfield, 58, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Church, with burial in the Osage Cemetery. He died Tuesday at a hospital in Austin, Minn., following a heart attack. He was born and reared in the Osage community.
