CHARLES ROOT DIES AT 95; RITES AT RICEVILLE

Riceville – Charles Root, 95, died Saturday at University Hospitals, Iowa City. Funeral services were held Monday at the Free Methodist Church here. The Rev. Herschel Hawf officiated. Burial was in the Riceville Cemetery with Riceville Funeral Home in charge.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Harry Minor; Mrs. Clyde Swancutt, both of Riceville; Mrs. Jim Benson, Norwald, California; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
