Elizabeth (Daven) Clark 1866-1961

ELIZABETH CLARK DIES AT 95, RITES PENDING
Riceville – Mrs. Elizabeth Daven Clark, 95, died Tuesday night at the Riceville Hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Bradley-Chisholm Funeral Home here.

Born September 6, 1866, at Whitewater, Wisconsin, she was a teacher at Conde, S. D., several years before being married there to Charles Clark.

After living in Conde they moved to a farm near Riceville. Mr. Clark was one of the founders of the Farmers Telephone Co., here. They later moved to town where he operated a grocery store and was also a cement contractor. He died in 1940.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Luzelle Loper; Mrs. Bessie Swancutt, both of Riceville; Mrs. William Jensen, Junction City, Ore.; Mrs. Glenn Ebbert, Springfield, Ore.; 10 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. A son, Elmer, preceded her in death.
