OSAGE, Iowa - Funeral arrangements are incomplete at the Champion Funeral Home for Gordon Green, 75. He died early Wednesday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.

Surviving are two chldren, Arthur Green and Mrs. Arthur Spadin, both of Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a son who was killed in World War II

GORDON GREEN RITES SATURDAY AT OSAGE

Osage, Iowa – Funeral services for Gordon Green, 75, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Champion Funeral Home. The Rev. John Woodin of the First Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Osage Cemetery. He died Wednesday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.

Surviving are a son, Arthur; and a daughter Mrs. Arthur Spavin, both of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, and a son in World War II.

There may be an error in his obit (wife Dorothy) unless he remarried after Laura died.

The tombstone in Osage Cemetery has Gordon Green 1885-1961 and Laura R. Green 1893-1954. From records found he was married to Laura Rachel Sheldon.

Note: The son killed in World War II was Lt. Robert G. Green, killed in action over Germany April 11, 1944.
