At Rock Creek

Funeral services were held May 10 at the Champion Funeral home and the Rock Creek Lutheran church for lifetime resident of Cedar Township near Meroa -- Miss Thea Docken, 69, who died May 8, 1953, from a malignant illness. Burial was in the Rock Creek cemetery, with the Rev. M. G. Berg officiating.

Miss Docken, who died at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital, spent her entire life on the home farm, except for brief intervals.

She was born on the Docken homestead on July 11, 1883, to Tideman and Gunhild Docken. She is survived by two sisters and brother, all of Osage. They are Mrs. Olava Peterson, Mrs. Nettie Maakestad and Elvin. Preceeding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Ole and Gabriel; and five sisters, Mrs. Guri Shoger, Mrs. Carrie Bragor, Mrs Mattie Ivenson and Inger and Christine.
