CARRIE POWER DIES AT OSAGE

Osage – Mrs. Carrie Power, 73, died Monday night at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services are set tentatively for Thursday afternoon. Champion Funeral Home is in charge. Burial will be in the Elma Cemetery.

Born July 1887, at Elgin, Iowa, as Carrie Vesper, she was married to George Power. They lived at Elma until coming here 24 years ago.

Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Harry Faber, Chicago; Mrs. Everett Smith, Cedar Falls; Mrs. John Smith and Mrs. Robert Graham, Osage; two sons: Paul, Bassett; George, Osage. She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons and three daughters.

Carrie Jean Vesper was born July 19, 1887 at Elgin, Fayette, Iowa, the daughter of Willard and Mary Vesper. She married George Clinton Power, the son of Orlin and Frances Power.
