HEAL

Joseph Heal died Nov. 9, 1899. Born in Cheddar, Summersetshire, England, Feb. 8, 1815.

He was married in 1878 to Kate Powers, who with three children survive him; (Mrs. Ed Rogers, Louisa and Kate). He came to America in 1867 and to Osage in 1872. He was a man of sterling qualities, a loving husband and father, a fast friend, a thorough Christian gentleman.

The funeral services took place last Sunday afternoon from the family residence west of town. Rev. Preston of the Congregational churdh conducted the funeral services at the house and grave. A very large concourse of friends followed the remains to the grave, testifying the esteem and love in which the deceased was held by all.
