EX OSAGE WOMAN DIES IN WRECK

Osage – A former Osage woman, Mrs. Vanita Loree Cowell, 36, Round Lake, Ill., died in a Chicago hospital Tuesday morning. She was in an auto accident in heavy fog early Tuesday while driving to work in Chicago.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Walker, Osage, she was the widow of Lloyd Cowell, formerly of St. Ansgar. He died of cancer three years ago.

Surviving Mrs. Cowell are four daughters, Susan 17; Cindy 13; Vicki 11; Sylvia 8; a son, Vernon 15; her parents of Osage; a sister, Mrs. Loyal Schreiner, Mt. Carroll, Ill., and a brother, John Walker, Osage.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
