Dies of Cancer
In Osage Home

Ben Donsker, prominent Osage clothier, died of cancer, Sunday at his home. The 57 year old businessman had been a partner in the Gildner-Donsker store for 24 years.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at Champion's funeral home and burial was in the Adath Yeshurun cemetery in Minneapolis Monday afternoon. Officiating at the burial was Rabbi Sidney Rothstein.

Ben Donsker was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Adas Israel Congregation of Mason City.

A lifelong resident of Osage,he was a charter member of the Osage Rotary club and was active in Boy Scout work, the Cancer crusade and was a spirited supporter of Osage athletics.

Surviving are his wife, Hanna*, two daughters, Marcia and Susan, a sister, Amelia,of Independence, and a brother, Mason** of St. Paul.

A contribution was taken by members of the Rotary club at its meeting Tuesday. This will be given to the Mitchell county cancer society in memory of Mr. Donsker. The family requested that all who planned to send flowers contribute to the Cancer Fund or to the Mason City Synagogue Library instead.

Dies of Cancer

OSAGE, IOWA — Ben Donsker, 56, coowner of Gildner and Donsker Clothing store in Osage died Sunday at his home of cancer. He had been in the Osage store for 24 years.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Champion Funeral Home in Osage and burial will be in the Adath Yeshurun Cemetery in Minneapolis Monday afternoon. Rabbi Sidney Rothstein will officiate.

Mr. Donsker was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Adas Israel Congregation of Mason City. He was a lifelong resident of Osage and had been active in various drives to combat cancer.

Surviving include his wife, the former Hanna* Goldberg, two daughters, Marcia and Susan, both of Osage; a sister, Amelia, Independence; and a brother, Mason**, St. Paul The Donsker family has requested that all who plan to send flowers to the funeral contribute to the Cancer Fund or the Mason City Synagogue Library instead.

OSAGE — Mr. and Mrs. Ben Donsker and daughter, Marcia and Jacob Donsker returned Monday afternoon from Minneapolis where they have spent the last few days. They attended the rites for Mrs. Jacob Donsker held Sunday afternoon at Hodroff's chapel in Minneapolis, with Rabbi Allen I. Gordon in charge.
