FUNERAL RITES HELD AT OSAGE
JAMES WEAVERLING, 89, SUCCUMBED AT HOME OF DAUGHTEROsage – Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Champion funeral home in charge of the Rev. John D. Kern of the Osage Baptist church for James Weaverling, 89, who died Tuesday at San Antonio, Texas, where he has made his home with his daughter, Eliza.
Born in Bethel, Pa., he was married in Andalusia, Illinois, October 30, 1851 to Mary Oldham. They came to Orchard in 1877 and spent most of their married life in Mitchell County.
Mrs. Weaverling died in 1930. The past four years Mr. Weaverling has made his home in Texas.
Surviving are three daughters: Mrs. Harry Morey of Osage; Miss Eliza Weaverling of San Antonio, Tex., and Mrs. William Tague of Amherst, Mass.
