OSAGE, IOWA – Funeral services were to be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic church for Mrs. Tony Laga, 64, who died at her home at Mitchell.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Julia Bachen, Austin, Minn., two sisters and three brothers. Burial was to be in the Mitchell cemetery.

Mitchell – Funeral services were at Osage Wednesday for Mrs. Tony Laga 64, who died Saturday from an ailment that started last summer. Nee Antonia Tesar, she was born January 13, 1882 in Zdanice, Moravia Province, Czechoslavakia. She was married in the summer of 1902 to Tony Laga.

Mr. Laga came to this county in 1920 and son Anton Laga, arrived in 1921. In 1923 Mrs. Laga and her daughter, Julia came over and lived at Austin, Minn., for a short time and in 1924 moved to Mitchell, which has been their home since.

She leaves her husband a her daughter, Mrs. Julia Bachan, of Austin; two sisters and three brothers; Mrs. Rose Lagler, Vienna, Austria; and Mrs. John Sber, Irvington, J. J.; Joseph Tesar, still in Moravia Providence, Czechoslavakia; Frank and Walter, both of Hillside, N.J. There are five grandchildren.

A son, Anton died suddenly at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on December 27, 1944.
